Over 4 in 10 auto industry leaders fear losing their jobs

Big reputed company ka CEO hona bilkul bhi easy nahi hota, ye koi relax wali job nahi hai, or history ki sabse peaceful job toh bilkul bhi nahi.

AlixParthers ki ek report ke according, nowdays CEOs apni jobs ko leke zyada tension mein rehte hai, unhe anxiety bhi zyada hoti hai, or unhe professional life ke saath saath personal life mein bhi support require hoti hai.

Automotive sector mein aisa hona koi nayi baat nahi hai, but abhi ka jo scene hai wo pehle se zyada volatile (unstable) ho gaya hai. Iska main reason hai electric vehicles ki taraf shift or geopolitical tenions, ek taraf China hai jo kaafi aggressive ho gaya hai, and other side United States hai jin par trust karna difficult lag raha hai, especially President Donald Trump ki policies ki wajah se.

Aur iska effect hum already dekh bhi chuke hai, recent time mein lot's of CEOs change hue hai automotive companies mein.

Automotive industry ke CEOs bolte hai ki unki companies ke inside hi unke plans ko many times organization ke issues ya internal interference ki wajah se problem hoti hai. Is study ke according, ye problem unko unke direct reports se milne wali reports se bhi zyada lagti hai, or other sectors se bhi zyada.

Automotive industry mein ye situation 74% cases mein hoti hai. Comparison ke liye:

    • Aerospace mein around 72%
    • Retail mein 73%
    • Financial services or media mein 71%

Ye group car manufacturers ke CEOs, dealerships, service centers or after sales service providers jaise logon ko include karta hai, overall 3,000 tak leaders hai 11 se zyada countries se. Sabka work-culture different hai, or unmein se half of the people aisi companies mein work karte hai jinka annual revenue $1 billion se zyada hai.

Primary concerns, particularly tariffs and protectionism

Major challenges jo highlight hue hai unme se ek hai AI ka fast rise or uska effective use. Second biggest issue tariffs se related problems  hai, esecially unki supply chain par jo impact pad raha hai.

Saath hi Chinese brands ka market share bhi kaafi fastly increase ho raha hai. In companies ka model thoda different hai, because inke liye profit margin itna primary focus nahi hota. Matlab ye log break even par bhi comfortable rehte hai, because unki economy ka structure or government support unhe aisa karne allow karta hai.

Despite this fleets or shared mobility operations se related issues bhi industry ke liye biggest challenge ban rahe hai.

Apart from AI development race automotive CEOs ke liye kaafi headaches hai. Jaise autonomous driving, electrification, or energy costs, especially jab companies climate change se fight kar rahi hai or emissions reduce karne ke pressure mein hai. From above inflation or customers ke buying trends bhi fast change ho rahe hai.

In sab mein se, 44% CEOs ko most of the threat tariffs or protectionist policies se lagte hai. Ye concern geopolitical (40%) or inflation (36%) se bhi zyada bada maana ja raha hai.

Concerns, apprehensions and uncertainties about his ongoing position as CEO

Overall dekha jaye toh CEOs ko kaafi strees ho raha hai, around 40% cases mein anxiety feel ho rahi hai, jo last year ki report se 14% zyada hai.

45% CEOs ne ye bhi admit kiya ki unhe apni job lose hone ka fear rehta hai, or 85% ka kehna hai ki unhe personal or professional dono level par zyada support ki need hai.

Saath hi 72% CEOs bolte hai ki disruptive forces ( jaise market change, technology shifts, etc.) ko deal karte time priorities set karna ab pehle se kaafi zyada challenging ho gaya hai, especially jab unhe important decisions lene hote hai.

Half se bhi zyada cases mein (52%) CEOs ko lagta hai ki unki khud ki executive team mein itni agility nahi hai ki wo company ke internal organizational problems hai unko effectively handle kar sake. Approx. same situation (51%) un CEOs ke saath bhi hai jo feel karte hai ki unki company utni fast adapt nahi kar rahi jitna karna chahiye. Ye cheez automotive sector mein kaafi clearly reflect hoti hai, because past few years mein industry mein itne zyada changes aaye hai ki market ab pehle jaisa bilkul bhi nahi lagta.

    Recent changes left and right

For various reasons, nearly almost major automotive groups ke top leadership mein changes ho gaye hai. Few days back Toyota ne announce kiya ki 1 April se Kenta Kon, Koji Sato ko replace karenge.

Wahin Stellantis mein mid 2025 se Antonio Filosa new CEO ban gaye hai, jo Carlos Tavares ko replace kar rahe hai. And uske thodi der baad Renault ke head Luca de Meo ne bhi step down kar diya, jiske baad Francois Provost ne unki jagah le li.

2025 ke start mein suddenly, one day se another day, Wayne Griffiths ne SEAT or Cupra ke CEO ka apna position se step down kar diya. Situation Oliver Blume ke case mein thodi different thi. Wo ek saath Volkswagen or Porsche dono ke CEO the, but unhe dono mein se ek choose karna pada, or unhone Volkswagen ko choose kiya. Is reason se ab Porsche ke CEO Michael Leiters ban gaye hai. Wahi Oliver Zipse, jo 35 years se BMW mein the, unhe kuch months pehle replace karke Milan Nedeljkovic ko unki jagah de di gayi.

Much more unstable in other sectors

Ye kaafi interesting baat hai ki 10 mein se 4 se zyada automotive leaders apni job security ko leke worried hai. Agar other sectors ki baat karein, jaise retail, defense, media, entertainment, healthcare, science ya finance, wahan average kaafi low hai, around 28%. Maybe isi wajah se recently jo kuch decisions liye gaye hai, unka reason bhi thoda samajh aata hai.
