Actually, India iske production ka ek hub bhi banne wala hai, aur yeh maybe first model hoga jo Toyota ke naye Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar plant, Maharashtra se roll out hoga. FJ ab Toyota ke legendary Land Cruiser line-up ki nayi entry-level SUV hai, aur tradition ke hisaab se iska body-on-frame construction hai. Ye Land Cruiser FJ bhi wahi strong IMV platform use karti hai jo Fortuner, Innova Crysta aur Hilux ke liye platform hai. but India mein aane wale FJ apne IMV siblings se thoda alag hoga, especially powertrains ke prespective mein. Land Cruiser FJ ki length 4,575mm hai, jo ki current Fortuner (4,795mm) se kaafi chhoti hai. Yeh ek ladder-frame SUV hai with 4x4, aur conceptually yeh Mahindra Scorpio N (4,662mm) ke kaafi close hai. Off-roading ke liye bhi yeh kaafi promising lagti hai, thanks to 215mm ground clearance aur Toyota ke hisaab se “wheel articulation aur approach angle jo ek Land Cruiser ke layak hai”. Ek aur interesting cheez hai iska 2,580mm ka wheelbase (compare karo Scorpio N ke 2,750mm se).
FJ ka styling kaafi chunky hai, body panels little bit exaggerated hain aur bold cladding bhi hai. Saath hi, kaafi saare design elements FJ ke family ke bade Land Cruisers se connect karte hain. Jaise ki short overhangs aur spare wheel jo side-opening tailgate pe laga hai, ye FJ ko ek rugged, tough look dete hain.
Ye car ka chunky aur rugged look andar bhi continue karte hai. lot's of physical buttons aur knobs hain, but 12.5-inch ka touchscreen aur digital dials bhi diye gaye hain. Close se dekho toh cabin ki quality solid hai, butn wo itna plush ya luxurious feel nahi deta.
Back mein space theek-thaak hai, zyada nahi, aur andar sit in karne ke liye thoda upar step karna padta hai. Back seat ke comfort ki baat karein toh seat recline ka option hai, but display car mein sunroof aur rear AC vents nahi the. Aur haan, FJ officially 2-row, 5-seat model ke saath aaya hai.

Land Cruiser FJ (code Name: 900D) ki production India mein August 2028 se start hoga, aur Toyota plan kar raha hai ki year ke around 89,000 units annualy; jismein se 40,000 units export ke liye jaayenge, jaise ki Middle East markets. Ye SUV kaafi localised hogi, aur abhi ka buzz ye hai ki Land Cruiser FJ ki starting price around Rs 30 lakh ho sakti hai (ex-showroom, estimated). PHEV versions ke liye kaafi extra premium expect kiya jaa raha hai.
