    20 December ko ek big international news thi San Francisco ke blackout, jisme entire North American city darkness mein tha. Is wajah se kaafi wired situations or thoda chaos bhi ho gaya.

    San Francisco mein tumhe Tesla ke self driving taxis bhi milti hai (or kaafi log apni cars mein FSD (Full Self Driving) use kar rahe hote hai), or Waymo ke self driving cars bhi, jo Google ki company hai or apni AI tech use karti hai.


    Both of are trained differently or both these are works differently, isi reason se ek itna unusual case mein unka behaviour kaafi different dikh gaya.


    Autonomous vehicles halted in San Francisco


    Waymo or Tesla ke between ek big difference ye hai ki Waymo completely autonomous hai, agar koi problem ho jaaye then driver ke pass control lene ka option hi nahi hota. Tesla mein on the other hand ye option hota hai ki human steering control kar sakta hai jab chaahe.


    Ye baat Tesla ki fully autonomous cars par bhi apply hoti hai or unki full self Driving (FSD) wali cars par bhi. By the to remember FSD technically Level 2 system hai, matlab ye truly autonomous nahi hai, driver ko hamesha supervisor ki tarah alert rehna padta hai or car ki responsibility usi ki hoti hai.     Waymo ki self driving cars jab drak mein trapped ho gayi, then San Francisco ki streets par bilkul ruk si gayi. Internet access na hone ki wajah se wo real time mein data process nahi kar paayi, or cars darkness mein hi stuck ho gayi, control bhi car ke inside sitting humans ko transfer nahi ho paaya.


    Differences between Waymo and Tesla


    Simple words mein, unka LiDAR system traffic signals ko sahi se detect or interpret hi nahi kar pa raha tha, jo normally safe driving ke liye important hota hai. That's the reason San Francisco ki streets pe kaafi chaos ho gaya, or West Coast ke is city mein thousands of people are affected.


    Tesla ke case mein, jo data use karke behavior simulate karta hai, ek big advantage ye tha ki agar system completely lok ho jaata, then ek real human seat le sakta tha. Isse passengers beech raaste stranded nahi hote. or by the way, Tesla ke autonomous taxis LiDAR use nahi karte, unlike Waymo.


    The benefit of human intervention


     Yes, both cases se ek baat clearly samajh aati hai, jab technology work nahi kati, whether wo autonomous cars khud na ho, rather internet ya power supply jaise blackouts ke time, tab human ingenuity or common sense situations ko better handle kar sakte hai, Waise bhi, aisa kuch hum Spain ke blackout ke time around 8 months pehle dekh chuke hai.


    Is blackout ke both of the sides hai, or isne world ko ek important lesson diya hai ki autonomous car ho ya robotaxi, aisi situations mein unhe kaise react karna chahiye. Future mein hum definitely dekhenge ki future models or technologies ke design mein is chaos ko handle karne ke solution add kiye jayenge, jaise Volkswagen past one years se Wolfsburg mein develop kar raha hai.
