Maruti Suzuki launch Suzuki Solio inspired Hybrid MPV in India by 2029

Maruti Ertiga ki sales clearly show karta hai ki India ka MPV market kitna strong ho chuka hai. Ye continuously 6 financial years se country ki bestselling MPV rahi hai, or current trends dekh ke lagta hai 7th year bhi pakka hai.

Saath hi ek or interesting baat ye hai ki premium or luxury MPVs bhi fast popular ho rahi hai, mainly unke comfort, convenience or high end features ki wajah se. Past kuch years mein ye segment approx. 70%grow hua hai (haan, base thoda small tha), or future mein grow hone ke or chances hai.

Kia Carnival or MG M9 jaise models ko unke lounge type cabins ki wajah se kaafi buyers mil rahe hai, Toyota Vellfire abhi bhi segment ke luxury end ko define karti hai.

Is trend ko capitalize karne ke liye, Maruti Suzuki ek premium compact MPV introduce karne wali hai, jo japan or Hong Kong mein sell hone wali Solio se inspired hogi. Iska codename 'YVF' hai, or yeh car approx. 2028-29 ke around market mein launch hone ke track par hai. Isse Maruti ka MPV lineup Ertiga or XL6 se aage or expand ho jaayega.

    Motorized rear sliding doors

A first for Maruti in the market for small MPVs

Suzuki Solio pehle bhi Maruti ke radar pe aa chuki hai, 2019 ke Future Mobility Show mein isse showcase kiya gaya tha, or India mein during the testing isse spot kiya gaya. Us time ye showroom tak nahi aayi thi, but ab market conditions aise products ke liye kaafi zyada favourable ho gaye hai.

Under 4 metre MPV segment abhi Renault Triber or uske Nissan badge engineered twin ke paas hai, jo recently Gravite ke name se reveal hui hai. Both these MPVs are 3 row, 7 seater models.

Maruti ne abhi dimensions officially share nahi kiye hai, but Japan spec Solio se thoda idea milta hai. Uski length 3,810mm, width 1,645mm or height 1,745mm hai, wheelbase 2,480mm ka. Is hisaab se ye Renault or Nissan wali MPVs se thodi small ho sakti hai. or haa, yeh 5 seater hai, jo export markets ko kaafi appeal karegi.

YVF ka sabse standout feature hoga powered sliding rear doors, is segment mein Maruti ke liye first time. Chauffeur driven users ke liye ye kaafi useful hai, or ab tak ye feature sirf premium MPVs jaise Toyota Velfire or MG M9 mein hi offer kiya jata tha. Iska yahan introduce hona clearly show karta hai ki premium features gradually affordable cars tak trickle down ho rahe hai.

    Hybrid Drivetrain

Suzuki's Z12E engine may be used with robust hybrid technology

YVF maybe India ki first compact MPV ho sakti hai jo hybrid technology offer kare. Abhi India spec model ke details fully clear nahi hai, but overseas market mein jo Solio on offer hai, usme Suzuki ka Z12E 1.2 litre, 3 cylinder petrol hybrid engine available hai. jo CVT gearbox ke saath paired hota hai. WLTC test cycle ke according iska mileage approx. 22 kmpl ke around bataya jaata hai.

Japan mein iska all wheel drive (AWD) version bhi offer kiya jata hai, but is segment mein AWD ki demand kaafi limited hai, that's the reason India aane ke chances kam hi hai.

Although same Z12E engine Swift or Dzire mein already use ho raha hai, because ye hybrid compatible hai, Maruti ke liye apna hybrid portfolio or expand karne ke chances open ho sakte hai.

Production India mein hi hoga, or exports is poore plan ka kaafi important part rahenge. First full year mein Maruti se expect kiya ja raha hai ki wo 1 lakh se zyada cars manufacture karenge, jisme around 12,000 hybrid hongi or approx. 30,000 units foreign markets ke liye dispatch ki jaayengi.
