BMW taps real world driving data to refine safety tech

BMW taps real world driving data to refine safety tech

BMW ke new campaign ka idea yeh hai ki apne safety or assistance systems ko or fast improve kiya jaaye. New iX3 already latest ADAS ke saath aata hai, but improvement ki hamesha scope hoti hai. Customer cars se data use karke, BMW apni technology ko or fine tune kar sakta hai, ek hi goal ke saath, safety.

BMW ke new campaign ka main idea hai apne safety or assistance systems ko or fast improve karna. New iX3 mein already latest ADAS hai, but improvement ke liye always scope rehta hai. Customer cars se data use karke, BMW apni technology ko or fine-tune kar sakta hai, ek hi goal ke saath better safety.

Yeh kaise work karta hai? Car ko 24/7 monitor nahi kiya jata, rather sirf jab koi specific event trigger hota hai tab hi activate hoti hai.

Jab koi predefined situation hoti hai, tab automatically image or video data record hota hai, around 120 seconds tak.

BMW ke according ye system ke around vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists or other objects ka footage capture karta hai, including nearby street signs or buildings bhi.

Vehicle ke parameters bhi record hote hai, jaise GPS location, speed, steering angle, or brake pedal ka input. Saath hi weather or lighting conditions bhi store ki jaati hai, or license plates or car pe written details bhi. Cameras jo faces or license plates capture karte hai, unhe automatically blur kar diya jata hai car ke inside hi, data transfer hone se pehle. But yeh information third parties ke saath shre kar sakta hai.

Kabhi kabhi specific cases mein data carefully selected development or technology partners, ya other manufacturers ke saath share kiya ja sakta hai. Hum jo data collect karte hai, including video recordings, wo bhi selected third parties ke saath share ho sakta hai, jaise development or tech partners. Ye partners is data ko sirf spne development or research work ke liye use karenge, especially assisted, connected, partially automated or autonomous driving functions ke field mein.

Data collection sirf un cars ke liye possible hai jisme iDrive X laga hai, or abhi at moment aisi sirf 2 hi cars hai. BMW ne recently iX3 ki deliveries start ki hai, and year ke second half mein i3 sedan bhi ship karna start kar degi.

7 Series ka facelift, jo iss month debut ho raha hai, wo bhi iss program ka part hai. Saath hi next-gen X5 bhi aa rahi hai iss summer.

Means indirectly yeh confirm ho gaya hai ki sedan or SUV both of these iDrive use karenge.

Aaj Germany mein data collection campaign start ho raha hai un customers ke liye jinhone already second generation iX3 le li hai. Gradually ye expand hoga European Economic Area tak, jismein all 27 EU countries ke saath 3 non-EU countries bhi union hai: Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein.

While it sounds complex or privacy point of view se sensitive lag sakta hai, but end mein iska purpose kaafi clear hai. Agar tumhe apni car ka data share karne mein uncomfortable feel hota hai, so tum simply BMW ke safety research program se opt out kar sakte ho.
